It's purple with a pad

Yes, you see this rite. First I do not notice the iPad below as my eye focus solely on the purple dash cover. It is just too attractive and keep you eyes there.
Anyway, I know the iPad seems nice, but what it's purpose there ? To stream video and music ?
It is a bit low to have a touch screen while driving. If the iPad are placed at the top it make more sense.
