HT81S in Nürburgring 24 Hours Race(NBR 24h)

JDM swift sport was in action for the 33rd Nürburgring 24 Hours Race(NBR 24h) held on the 7-8th May, 2005. Swift Sport (HT81S) is being enter into A2 class and won the class it enter plus it get an overall standing of 50th place. Not bad for a small car like this. Since the car is designed for Rally and not for 24 hours endurance races, this proves that swift sport (HT81S) is a well designed car for all purpose of racing. A thorough breed for small car.

The driver for the races is three Japanese and another European, which I dont know his origin, name as
1st Driver : Takashi Ohi
2nd Driver : Nikolaus Schelle
3rd Driver : Masaya Kato
4th Driver : Kazunori Sato



The main sponsor for the car is by Toyo, D-Rights Racing, Suzuki Sport, Monster Sport, Snap on, Fujitsubo, Rays.

It was using a standard engine JDM (HT81S) Swift Sport to enter the race. By the way I look at the sponsor for the car, I can detail out some specification for the race car.

Engine :
Standard engine as claimed by the team D-Rights Racing. But surely with all the goodies from Suzuki Sport.

Exhaust :
Fujitsubo does produces special products for Swift Sport (HT81S).

Suspension :
I believe is from TEIN - maybe with EDFC built in. Latest info is by Bilstein as they are the sponsor for this car. Can see from the picture at the front car plate.
Latest latest info. Based on the TEIN website, they claimed that the car uses TYPE FLEX damper series for the race. Picture as below : -
