Ladder inside a Ignis Sport ?

I had tried to fit in many things into my HT81S and fortunately it doesn't disappoint me. I had put a single bed frame into the car before and help my sister to carry tons of luggage too. However this time I think this blue Iggy try to fit something a bit too long.
Saw this photo from the internet sometime ago and find it interesting that what the purpose of this exercise. Is it a temporary storage for the ladder or what. Obviously it wont fit the car with the rear door close so what is the plan ?
