Ikeya Formula Sequential Shifter

A few months back, I had try to bid on one of this item on yahoo auction japan and didn't won the bid. Its a sequential gear shifter for HT81S, it is made by a Japanese company called Ikeya and they made a of performance product and this is one of their invention. For a new item this will cost you around JPY 100,000 and without the additional accessory such as digital gear display and leather trimming.
How this thing works is very simple, you just engage your clutch as you always do and instead of shifting in H direction, you just shift up and down by pushing the gear forward and backward. This design utilize the original clutch and clutch cable release but changes the way of selection of gear. It is not AMT ! This design give you a sporty feel during driving. Remember you still need to press the clutch during gear change!
Advantages ? Prevent wrong selection of gear during shifting up and down.
Problem ? Need to press the clutch, costly and you no more in production!
